Notes from the October meeting approved
Trellick.uk Website. Rephrasing sentence in Maintenance Issues “ It takes 2 minutes from you and we will deal with the rest” as it suggests we will take on all the issues raised by residents. Who will respond to the queries posted on the website and monitor traffic? Anna will respond to the existing one. How do we deal with the future ones? Can it be done via Trellick email? Mary to investigate and report at the next meeting. Two Trellick websites are in existence. Mary will explore creating the link between the two.
Running Effective RA. Members of the committee to manage certain aspects of our work i.e. Crispín and JP - communal areas repair, Mary communications, Silvera to set up (and manage?) shared documents space.
Foyer (Dijon Edwards in charge). Slow process due to legal advice needed and new nationwide building regulations slowing the process. Crispín to chase progress. Request for Dijon to attend some of the monthly meetings. Steering group ( Crispín, Keith, Gerald and Lee) attend quarterly meetings. Clubroom - contract went out to tender. The estimated quote from Quenns doubled. Keith to meet with Huda Alanizy to request a progress report.
Floor coverings on bridges and in lift lobbies. Walkabout on 7 November (Barbara and Paul Fisher). Paul acknowledged the urgent need to carry out these works with bridges being a priority. He suggested the cost is covered by the Estate Improvement Fund. The committee didn’t agree and suggested the cost be covered by PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance Fund). This should be happening every 10-15 years.
Christmas plans. Children’s’ party 20 December. Hayley and Noreen to work together. Interested residents will need to register (number of children and their age).
Street bikes are deemed a nuisance. Keith attended the meeting with RBKC and representatives of two firms Lime Bikes and Forest Bikes which currently have an agreement with the council. There’s no London-wide regulation on the issue. Awaiting country-wide regulation.
