Community Meeting: Grenfell Tower Inquiry, Phase Two Report

In light of the release of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry's Phase Two report, the Council has published a summary outlining the key findings and what they mean for our relationship with residents. We are now inviting you to join us for a public meeting to discuss these important findings and what they mean for the future.

Event Details:

  • Date: Monday, 7 October

  • Time: 6pm – 8pm

  • Location: Morley College, North Kensington Centre, W10 5QQ

At this meeting, you will have the chance to:

  • Hear directly from the Council’s Leader and Chief Executive about the Council’s failings and the changes we’ve implemented since 2017.

  • Share your views on whether these changes have made an impact, what still needs to improve, and what we should prioritize next.

Meeting Chair:
The event will be chaired by the former Bishop of Liverpool, James Jones KBE, known for his role as Chair of the Independent Hillsborough Panel. As an independent chair, he will ensure that as many voices as possible are heard during the discussion.

What to Expect:

  • The Leader and Chief Executive will present the findings and explain the changes made since the Grenfell tragedy.

  • Most of the meeting will focus on residents' questions, concerns, and suggestions for further action.

  • After the meeting, Council officers will be available for one-on-one conversations with those who may not have had the chance to speak during the session.

Next Steps: A follow-up meeting will be held on Thursday, 7 November, where we will share how your feedback is shaping the Council’s ongoing response to the Inquiry’s findings. Keep an eye on our website for further updates.

If you would like to attend, please register your interest via Eventbrite or by emailing GTI.contact@rbkc.gov.uk.

Further Information:

  • Hard copies of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry report are available at North Kensington, Chelsea, and Central Libraries, as well as at Kensington Town Hall.

For more information or to share feedback, please get in touch with GTI.contact@rbkc.gov.uk.

Please join us as we continue to reflect, listen, and work towards meaningful change.
